A rural girls dream

Be Well started as a small dream in the back of my mind. One that I figured would just stay where it was and never see the light of day. Then one day, life happened. I was with family waiting in a hospital room for my husband to come back from what we thought would be routine, emergency surgery. And then, when the dr walked in, he said the unthinkable; 'I'm sorry, he has cancer.' The Earth stopped for a few minutes while we processed that statement. And once we were all finally together after his surgery, we realized life is too short to not live our dreams.

I had always had a passion for health and wellness, but let that passion take a back seat to being a wife, mom and full time employee. After that fateful day in the hospital, I decided to chase that passion and see where it would take me. I enrolled to be a health and wellness coach, and with the guidance of my instructors, have not only kept 50 lbs off that I had lost on my own, but have been able to start helping others with weight loss, mindset shifts and being accountable to their goals.

Today, I'm happy to say my husband is living his best life, with his cancer being a non-threat to his wellbeing and I am living my dream of helping others with their health and wellness goals.
